My dog urinates in the house at night
I have a 3 yr.old female german shepherd. lately shes' been urinating in the house near the front door, but only in the middle of the night. She is let out every night before we go to bed, now i put plastic covers on the rug & she will go on them, but am i sending the wrong signal or maybe there is something physically wrong with her(hope not)- PLEASE tell me what you think, she is not a spiteful dog & she is loved very much!!! Hope to hear from you soon- Thanks, Rene P.S.she is spayed since she was 6 mos. old.
No you are not sending the wrong message. She has to go in the night and she does. She may have a medical problem like a bladder infection and should see a vet to be on the safe side. I would consider installing a pet door. This would help reduce the accidents in the house.
