I have a Bichon Frise and she is always scratching
I have a Bichon Frise and she is always scratching , she started this about two summers ago and now she is doing it in the winter months. She is very itchy. She is 2yrs old. She has no fleas. Please if you can help me with this.
Sorry to hear about your little pooch, itching dogs can be a problem for everyone, especially her. She may have a few things brewing here. One she may have skin allergies that are caused by something in the yard, something that she is eating or something in the environment. She may also have a problem with flea bites. It only takes one flea bite to send some dogs into orbit. They are usually allergic to the flea salvia. Your vet is going to have to be consulted on this one. They need to find out what is causing this. In the mean while go to your local pet store and get some Vet's Best Hot Spot spray.
