Shih Tzu Eating Too Much?
I have a 4 month old Shi Tzu that we feed in the morning and evening. How long before one feeding a day will be sufficient?
I recommend that you feed three times a day for this type of pooch. Take the amount that now feed and divide it by three and give that per feeding. Small dogs like this can have problems if they do not have food in their stomachs. They commonly throw up Bile if they do not have food in their stomachs. When your pooch is over one year old then I would recommend free feeding, which means to keep food down during the day if she is not over weight and if she does not eat and eat and eat. Some dogs do well free feeding. If you wish not to free feed then I would feed her in the morning and in the evening.
