Select a dog cage
Select a dog cage
The following are important considerations to keep in mind when selecting a dog cage:
- How much space do you have for the cage?
- Where will the cage be located?
- Will you be moving the cage from room to room?
- The cage or crate should be big enough for your dog to stand up and turn around, and lie down comfortably.
- If you are buying the cage or crate when the dog is young (a puppy), keep in mind how large the dog is expected to get as an adult.
- Armed with this information, buy your cage accordingly.
- You can always reduce the crate size by placing a partition in the crate changing its size as the puppy grows.
- If you intend to travel with your dog, you may wish to purchase a crate that is easily collapsed and stored in a small area.
- This becomes very handy for motel stays.
