Best Age for Neutering
I have a 17 week old male black lab. I have been on the Internet searching for an answer, and am more confused than when I started. What is the best age to have him neutered? I have read as early as 6 to 8 weeks and as old and 9 months to a year. I really want to do the best for him.
The best age to have this procedure preformed is still at 6 months of age. There has been much research done lately suggesting that as early as 10 weeks would be fine. This is because of the staggering over pet population problem. Have this done at 6 months and you and your pooch should be fine.
