In the Fall of 1982 doctors Margaret (Mac) and Earl Mummert opened the Companion Animal Clinic in conjunction with their existing animal hospitals in New London and Norwichtown. The goal was, and remains, to offer exceptionally high quality care to the pets of the Thames Valley region and excellent service to their owners. To that end the Clinic was expanded to become the full-service Companion Animal Hospital in 1985. CAH now has 5 DVMs on staff, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience for your pets benefit.

Being pet lovers ourselves, we know the importance of your relationship with the furry members of your family. At CAH we continually update our knowledge, facilities and equipment to offer your pets the best possible care. We believe in recommending the finest care for each and every patient.

CAH was granted membership in the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) in 1984. Less than 20 percent of the animal hospitals in the U.S. are recognized for meeting the rigorous standards required for membership. We are voluntarily inspected to assure that we meet more than 600 individual standards to provide high quality care and service.

Our medical records, x-ray quality, anesthesia and surgery procedures, staff training, laboratory facilities, medical library, pharmacy, continuing education, sanitation procedures, and more are evaluated to assure that the most up-to-date, clean, safe and pleasant environment exists in which you and your pets can receive great care.
